Ricky Hanks D.C.

Dr. Ricky Hanks loves to help people - he always has. “My family is fond of saying I have a heart bigger than Texas!” It’s the service aspect of chiropractic that Dr. Hanks loves best. “I love helping people feel their best. Dr. Ricky Hanks was destined to be a Doctor of Chiropractic from the time he was a little boy growing up in Lake Highlands, a suburb of Dallas, TX.

The first sign of his destiny was his gift for always wanting to help others. Dr. Hanks’ love for chiropractic started in the tenth grade at Lake Highlands High School. As the athletic trainer for the football team, he worked with athletes suffering from sports injuries. It was at that time, a friend introduced him to a chiropractic doctor who taught Dr. Hanks about a different kind of healing. That chiropractor predicted he would one day be a Doctor of Chiropractic. He was only 15 at the time, and look at him now!

After high school, Dr. Hanks completed his prerequisite hours and was accepted as a student at the Parker College of Chiropractic, now the prestigious Parker University, and earned his degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1986. As a Doctor of Chiropractic, he worked as an associate in clinical practice for 12 years in South Texas. In 1999, Dr. Hanks returned to the Dallas and Lake Highlands area and opened Hanks Chiropractic Center.

Dr. Hanks’ burning desire is to educate people on the benefits of chiropractic care as a drug-free wellness/prevention tool so they may discover their ability to live at or as close to 100% of their in-borne God-given potential.

In addition to serving as an extended faculty member at Parker University, Dr. Hanks stays heavily involved in his community.

“I’m all about service, about helping people - and I’m able to do that without drugs or surgery, which I find to be the biggest blessing.”

Victoria Napoles

Dr. Victoria Napoles graduated from Parker University with her Masters in Neuroscience and Doctorate of Chiropractic in August of 2023. She joins us here at Hanks Chiropractic as an associate doctor as she continues to work on her boards.

“Chiropractic care has been life changing for me, no question. I had severe discomfort after landing on my head and overextending my neck during a combative class in the Army. I was made to see a physical therapist who recommended a series of exercises, along with using a “Tens Unit” for pain management. This only provided short term relief. I was told by some friends to go see a chiropractor for help. I was skeptical of chiropractic care at that time, I didn’t necessarily classify it as medicine. I believed in “doctors”, e.g. MDs to provide medicine for pain. Finally, after years of pain and discomfort, my friend had persuaded me to go see his chiropractor in Colorado. In one interaction, my pain went away. I went from skeptic to believer. An “I am healed” believer. I asked myself, ‘Where do I sign up for my membership?!’ Chiropractic care was my solution for musculoskeletal satisfaction, just as Jesus is my satisfaction for my soul and spiritual life. My longing for pain relief was never quenched by drugs and exercise, for my answer was always alignment. As it would be, alignment with God and alignment in the spine share a common theme of balance and harmony. The story in the Bible John Chapter 4 and my story of traditional medical care vs. chiropractor care are personal parallels of a non-believer being converted to a believer. The biblical story and my personal story show us why we might feel dissatisfied and where life-changing satisfaction may truly come from.”

Dr. Napoles along with her Husband Eric and their two boys Boston and Harrison recently moved to the Lake Highlands area after her graduation. In her free time, she enjoys antiquing, tea, her kids sport games and cheering on her favorite Dallas Stars!
