Aspen Laser Therapy
At Hanks Chiropractic Center, we are committed to providing our patients with high-quality, state-of-the-art therapies that get excellent results. That’s why we chose to offer Aspen Laser Therapy (ALT), which is one of the strongest lasers on the market today. It’s considered an Advanced Class IV Laser Therapy treatment that promotes cellular healing and provides natural pain relief.
Experience Powerful Healing, Naturally
Drug-free and non-invasive, our Aspen 30 Watt Laser delivers 600 times more energy per minute than the strongest low-level cold laser.
It has the ability to penetrate and get deeper into the tissue. Patients also love the heating side effect that is generated from the high-intensity laser energy. Results can be seen and felt immediately!
How Does It Work?
Laser therapy uses a scientific method called photobiomodulation to achieve these cell-level changes. When laser light photons penetrate the skin, they are absorbed by cells and converted into energy. This energy is what’s required to keep the cells normal and healthy.
We combine ALT with an open tractioning system for optimal results. When you’re getting a good decompression or stretch on that disc to get pressure off of it, the laser is introduced and removes the toxic buildup from the damaged tissue.
Conditions ALT Can Address
Here are some of the most common conditions for which laser therapy is used:
- Bursitis
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis)
- Bulging, herniated or ruptured discs
- Meniscus tears
- Muscle spasms
- Plantar fasciitis
What to Expect
If you’ve never had laser therapy before, you may be unsure of what to expect. With ALT, there is no cutting, burning or any type of surgical procedure involved. It’s a comfortable therapy that relieves pain, increases circulation and improves healing and function.
You’ll feel a warming sensation, which indicates that healing is taking place. Often after surgery or trauma, scar tissue develops in a joint. That means that the tissue has healed improperly. It stiffens, so by reproducing and pulling those bad cells off of that area, the heat that’s produced inside the tissue breaks up the scar tissue.
Receiving laser therapy is very soothing and most patients can’t believe how much better they feel while it’s being done and afterward.
